Who:

Enright Ridge Urban Eco-Village, Cincinnati's only Eco-Village, is located in Cincinnati's Westside neighborhood of Price Hill. This Home and Garden tour welcomes cultural creatives, urban pioneers, historic preservationists, nostalgic tourists, do-it-yourself rehabbers, ecologically minded homeowners and anyone interested in neighborhood and civic revitalization.

What:

Enright Ridge Urban Eco-Village's Second Annual Home and Garden Tour will showcase rehabilitated single family homes both finished and under construction, alternative energy applications, varied garden designs, and walking trails. There will be an artist show, featuring local artists who work in diverse media - oil, watercolor and photography. And there will also be a plant sale - procedes will go toward Eco-village projects.

When:

Where:

Enright Avenue, is located in East Price Hill, South of W. Eighth St. Five minutes from Cincinnati's city center, downtown. The eco-village was founded in 2004 and is located in an historic Westside neighborhood. For directions go to www.imagoearth.org and find directions to the Imago Earth Center.

Why:

Enright Ridge Urban Eco-Village's Home and Garden Tour will educate and encourage homeowners and buyers to use energy efficient and environmentally friendly remodeling products and services. The eco-village has a natural foods co-op, a bike co-op and a hiking trail. Eco-village residents and neighborhood tour guests are a prime market for Energy Star products, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified lumber, insulation, replacement doors and windows, and a myriad of native plants and other garden supplies. Many of our tour guests are considering relocating to livable city neighborhoods that are close to the downtown business district.

How:

Organized by the Enright Ridge Urban Eco-Village Neighborhood Association with the help of sponsors and volunteers.
