
Enright Ridge Urban Eco-village is a community fostering a sustainable urban neighborhood, who promotes preserving the planet through social, economic, and healthy lifestyles and demonstrate urban revitalization using these principals. The eco-village project is a demonstration effort directed at developing a sustainable urban neighborhood by focusing on building community, ecological health, and economic prosperity with the residents of Enright Avenue, which is located in the neighborhood of Price Hill in Cincinnati, Ohio. By working with the existing attributes of the neighborhood - 200 acres of woods, existing structures, many energy efficient homes, organic gardens, people committed to ecological living, etc. The benefits of the project will be a stronger, more sustainable neighborhood rich in relationships, beauty and peace, as well as providing a demonstration for developing an urban eco-village. A green or ecological neighborhood is defined as a community that promotes energy conservation, use of renewable energy resource such as solar, alternative transportation such as hybrid cars, walking and public transportation, preserving of greenspace, and gardening. A green neighborhood also understands the importance of involved and engages citizens who understand the power to create the kind of society they desire.

After over a year of waiting, Enright Ridge Urban Eco-Village has finally received its 501-(c)(3) classification from the Internal Revenue Service.
We are now an official non-profit organization!
This makes it possible for people to make tax-deductible contributions to the eco-village, as well as for us to apply for grants to help fund projects.
